New partnership between Kidney Research UK and Kidney Wales – apply now!
We are delighted to announce that we have partnered with Kidney Research UK to co-fund up to two new PhD awards. Working together will enable us to fund more research and accelerate discoveries, as well as ensuring researchers get the best possible start in their careers in kidney research.
These awards must be held at an academic institution in Wales for work undertaken in Wales.
Projects should focus on one or more of our research priorities: transforming kidney treatments, helping people living with multiple health conditions, making kidney health and treatments equal for everyone.
Expressions of interest are now open and will close at 5pm on 17 May 2022.

Patients and parents/carers are fully involved in our grants review process, so your lay summary and how you explain the project’s potential impact for patients is crucial.
If you have any questions please get in touch . We will be able to provide guidance that will be helpful when completing your application.
