The Kidney Charities Together (KCT) group has joined forces with the Diabetes Professional Care 2020 (DPC2020) conference. The conference is being held online this year, with the professional event happening from 11-13 November and a patient information day, on 14 November which is also World Diabetes Day. Both are free to access. The professional sessions are CPD accredited and offer updates for clinical teams and information on supporting people living with diabetes and related conditions.

Following the success of the inaugural DPC Kidney Clinic in 2019, this year the conference will have a Cardiovascular, Renal & Metabolic Clinic program, which will feature interactive sessions on hypertension management, controlling diabetes with chronic kidney disease (CKD), end of life care and mental health and wellbeing.

KCT are hosting a panel session on Friday 13 November at 10:45am,  aimed at highlighting to medical professionals, the importance of early detection of kidney problems in diabetes and the development of diabetes in people living with chronic kidney disease (CKD) or post-transplant. The panel will be made up of patient speakers who will share their personal experiences of living with diabetes and kidney disease along with a medical professional to highlight the importance of awareness, education and early detection.  If you would like to attend the KCT panel session on 13 November, please do register on the conference site.
