On 20th of September people turned out at the National assembly for Wales including Patients, Carers, Health Care Professionals, politicians, the Welsh Kidney Patients Association to mark the launch of the Kidney Wales People Like Us Campaign. With media stories and much interest from BBC and ITV and other journalists, the launch was covered by personal stories from patients across Wales.

The Minister Edwina Hart promised a full official reply to the document and expressed a wish for a public consultation on presumed consent. This received the backing from Jenny Randerson AM on behalf of the Liberal Democrats. Jonathan Morgan (Conservative Shadow Minister on Health) who chairs the newly reformed Wales Cross Party Kidney Group convened a meeting of the Group with support from Val Lloyd (Lab) and Dai Lloyd (Plaid Cymru).
