Children at Cardiff’s Children’s Kidney Unit were bowled over by a surprise festive visit from some of Glamorgan Cricket Club’s players this week.
The team met dialysis patients at the specialist centre which is supported by the Kidney Wales Foundation. They treated the children to some early Christmas presents including signed mini cricket bats and also learnt more about Kidney Wales work with the unit.
Cricket fan and kidney recipient Lewis Arkill, 15, from Caerphilly, said: It was amazing to meet the players. I’m such a huge fan of Glamorgan and love going to see them play. They were all really nice and signed my cricket bat for me.
