The Kidney Wales Foundation, one of Wales’ oldest and biggest charities has today welcomed the announcement from Edwina Hart AM, Health and Social Services Minister, that Welshpool and Llandrindod Wells have been chosen as the locations for two new renal dialysis units in Wales.

Executive Chairman of Kidney Wales Foundation, Roy J.Thomas said

This is good news for kidney patients in Powys. I know just how hard some of them have been campaigning so that they can get treated closer to home. This will make a real difference to their lives. All too often patients have to travel into England. We welcome this much needed announcement.
