Kidney Wales Patron TV presenter Alex Jones will replace Christine Bleakley on The One Show sofa, the BBC has announced.
Jones is a well-known supporter of Kidney Wales and appeared on Welsh language TV where she has presented various shows.
The 32-year-old will share the screen with comedian Jason Manford – who is taking over from Adrian Chiles – when they start on 16 August.
Kidney Wales Foundation today expressed congratulations and delight that Patron Alex Jones is to host the BBC flag ship programme The One Show.
Roy J. Thomas Executive Chairman of Kidney Wales said:
?Alex is a fine person and has a generous and selfless attitude to life, she has done so much for kidney patients and children at the Children?s Kidney Centre . Alex first worked with us some years ago on the Walk For Life and has run the Cardiff 10k for us over the last three years . Every year she delights everyone with her warm personality. We are truly thrilled for her as she is always a superstar to us and our patients ?now the rest of the UK will be fortunate to have the opportunity to see that.?
Alex Jones was made a Patron of the Kidney Wales Foundation in March 2010 after working with the charity and is committed to working closely with us for patients.
