Kidney Wales funds research into young adults with chronic kidney disease in Wales
PHD student Paula Krawiec, from Swansea University, is conducting research into how young adults age 18-35 in Wales manage their Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD). Funded by Kidney Wales, the study aims to find out which aspects work well and to identify areas that might need a different approach. The aim of the study is to produce tools to help young adults in Wales to manage their health condition.
There will be two stages to the research: a questionnaire and an option for a one-to-one interview.
Paula is looking for people who would like to contribute their views and experiences to the research:
- Young adults aged 18-35 with CKD stage 1-5 in Wales
- Parents and guardians of young adults with CKD stage 1-5
- People who care for young adults with CKD stage 1-5; and
- Healthcare professionals who care for young adults with CKD stage 1-5
