Forage Farm Shop and Kitchen paired with charity music event Lamb Jam for a debut festival in aid of Kidney Wales and Neuroendocrine Cancer UK raising £9,400.00

On Saturday 25th June 2022 hundreds of people braved the typical Welsh weather to enjoy a day of music and refreshments at the Lamb Jam Charity Music Festival held at Forage Farm Shop and Kitchen, Penllyn Estate Farm in Cowbridge.

The festival had a fantastic turn out despite the rain and we want to say a big thank you to every single person who supported this magnificent event, whether by purchasing a ticket and attending, donating prizes or contributing to the causes.

Once again, the community spirit locally shines through making a big impact in raising vital funds for local charities.

Kidney Wales are delighted to have been chosen as a beneficiary charity for this fantastic event.  Kidney Wales is a cause close to the heart of the team at Penllyn Estate Farm, with one of their team, Dewi Harris, being a 29-year-old transplant patient.

Dewi spoke fondly of Kidney Wales, and the importance of raising awareness. “At every stage of my diagnosis, Kidney Wales have been there to offer support and information about the disease and options available to me. The charity offers a whole range of services including information sharing, mental wellbeing, and financial support as well as aiding ongoing scientific studies and developments in kidney disease. I found this service invaluable when I was first diagnosed.”

On Thursday the 7th of July, we had the privilege of visiting the estate to meet the team behind this fantastic event for a cheque presentation of £4,700 to continue the life changing work of Kidney Wales.

We were joined by Lamb Jam Founder and Co Event Organiser Huw Llewellyn, team member and transplant patient Dewi Harris, Katherine Homfray Marketing Director and Tom Homfray Managing Partner at Forage Farm Shop and event organisers of Lamb Jamb alongside Huw.
