In an inspiring display of community spirit, a group of individuals from Talgarreg, Llandysul known as Criw Talgarreg, successfully completed the Cardiff Half Marathon on October 6, 2024. Their dedication and hard work led to an incredible £12,600 being raised. The funds will benefit three charities close to their hearts: the Chemotherapy Unit at Glangwili Hospital, Maggie’s Cancer Centre at Singleton, and Kidney Wales.

The motivation behind this initiative stemmed from personal experiences within the Talgarreg community, where members have greatly benefited from the support provided by these organisations over the past year.

The campaign gained fabulous support from hundreds of donors, reflecting the widespread admiration and backing from the community and beyond. Messages of encouragement and congratulations poured in, showcasing the collective appreciation for Criw Talgarreg’s efforts.

Kidney Wales are so grateful to Criw Talgarreg and all contributors for their unwavering support. The funds raised will play a crucial role in assisting kidney patients and their families, ensuring they receive the necessary care and support during challenging times.

Criw Talgarreg with be hosting a presentation evening on Thursday 17th April, to mark this special occasion and present the chosen charities with their donations.
