Take on one of the most scenic trail running events in Wales with the Anglesey Trail Half Marathon & 10K, set in the stunning surroundings of Newborough Forest and along the breathtaking coastline of Llanddwyn Island.

This popular event offers a unique opportunity to experience the natural beauty of Anglesey, combining peaceful woodland trails with sweeping coastal views. Choose Your Distance

• 10K – a compact but exciting trail route, perfect for those new to trail running or looking for a shorter challenge
• Half Marathon (21.1K) – a more demanding route offering an immersive experience through forest, coastline, and island terrain

Both distances take you through winding woodland trails and out towards Llanddwyn Island, with incredible views across to the Llŷn Peninsula and the mountains of Eryri (Snowdonia).

About the Route

The course weaves through scenic forest trails before opening out onto the stunning coastline, where you’ll run alongside the beach and across to Llanddwyn Island. Expect a varied and engaging route, with single-track woodland paths, sandy stretches, and incredible sea views throughout.

With sections that have previously hosted international trail running events, this race offers both a rewarding challenge and a chance to experience some of the best trail running terrain in Wales.
