KIDNEY WALES CHARITY PLACES (THIRD PARTY EVENTS) – TERMS AND CONDITIONS
By accepting a Kidney Wales charity place for an event organised by a third party (including places secured through Run 4 Charity or similar providers), you agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. Provision of Charity Place
Your place in the event is provided by Kidney Wales and may be allocated via a third-party event organiser (including Run 4 Charity).
All Kidney Wales charity places are subject to a non-refundable registration fee, which must be paid in full to confirm your place.
Your participation is subject to both Kidney Wales’ terms and conditions and those of the third-party event organiser.
The Kidney Wales team will not be present at event locations. All event information, logistics, safety guidance, and participation instructions will be provided directly by the event organiser.
Kidney Wales reserves the right to withdraw a place if fundraising commitments or payment requirements are not met.
2. Event Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old unless otherwise stated for the specific event.
If you are under 18, written consent from a parent or legal guardian is required.
You are responsible for ensuring you meet all eligibility and entry requirements set by the event organiser.
3. Event Participation
You confirm that you are physically fit and sufficiently prepared to take part in the event.
Participation is entirely at your own risk. Kidney Wales will not be liable for any injury, illness, accident, loss, or damage sustained during training or participation, except where caused by proven negligence of Kidney Wales.
You are responsible for seeking medical advice if you are unsure about your ability to take part.
4. Fundraising Commitment
By accepting a Kidney Wales charity place, you agree to meet the minimum fundraising target specified for your event.
Fundraising must be completed by the agreed deadline, typically within one month after the event date unless otherwise stated.
All funds raised must be paid directly to Kidney Wales.
If the minimum fundraising target is not met by the deadline, Kidney Wales reserves the right to invoice you for the remaining cost of the place, along with any reasonable administrative costs incurred.
5. Donations
All donations are non-refundable.
Donations will be used to support the work of Kidney Wales.
You acknowledge that donations create a direct contractual relationship between you and your donors, not Kidney Wales.
6. Cancellations, Transfers and Changes
Kidney Wales and/or the third-party event organiser (including Run 4 Charity) may cancel, postpone, or amend the event due to circumstances beyond their control.
If an event is cancelled or significantly changed, Kidney Wales will notify you as soon as reasonably possible and discuss alternative options where available.
Charity places are non-refundable. Transfers may be permitted at Kidney Wales’ discretion and may be subject to third-party approval and admin fees.
7. Safety and Compliance
You agree to comply with all instructions, rules, and safety requirements set by the event organiser.
You are responsible for complying with all applicable laws and regulations during participation.
8. Personal Data
Kidney Wales will collect and process your personal data in line with our privacy policy.
Your data will be used solely for administering your participation and fundraising activity.
9. Liability
Kidney Wales accepts no liability for any loss, injury, damage, or illness arising from participation in the event, except where caused by proven negligence of Kidney Wales.
Participation is at your own risk.
10. Acknowledgement
By accepting a Kidney Wales charity place for a third-party event, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
