Kidney Wales Team Set for All-Stars Cymru 2026
The countdown is on for the UK Charity All-Star Cymru tournament, taking place on Saturday 6 June 2026 at the Vindico Arena, Cardiff from 2pm–6pm, and we’re incredibly proud to have a Kidney Wales team taking to the ice!
This exciting charity ice hockey event will bring together teams, supporters and charities from across Wales for an unforgettable afternoon of sport and fundraising, and we’d love the kidney community to get behind Team Kidney Wales.
Leading the team as captain is the incredible Gareth Shaw, who is playing in memory of his wonderful wife, Miffy. Gareth’s passion, dedication and commitment to fundraising have been inspiring, and we are so proud to have him leading the team into the tournament.
Joining him on the ice is our very own CEO, Ross Evans. A lifelong Cardiff Devils fan, Ross is now getting the chance to experience the sport from a completely different perspective, by actually playing ice hockey himself!
The team have been busy training, practising and fundraising ahead of the big day. Spirits are high, the team are bonding brilliantly, and excitement is building as the tournament gets closer.
Kidney Wales will also be there on the day, so if you fancy a fun family day out while supporting an amazing cause, we’d love to see you there cheering the team on.
