International Youth Day

Tuesday 12th August is International Youth Day and here at Kidney Wales we celebrate the strength, resilience, and determination of young people living with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD).

Being young should be a time of learning, growing, and pursuing dreams—but for many young people with CKD, it also means navigating hospital appointments, treatments, uncertainty, and challenges that their peers may never see.

We understand that living with CKD can impact every part of a young person’s life, from education and employment to friendships, mental wellbeing, and future plans.

That’s why we’re committed to listening to their experiences, amplifying their voices, and working alongside NHS professionals to provide the support they need to thrive every step of the way.
