The Health Minister Edwina Hart announced that Kidney Wales will lead an organ donation campaign for Wales. The Campaign will launch on 13 of May and full details will be placed on the website. Charities involved include the British Heart Foundation, British Liver Trust, Cystic Fibrosis Trust, Live Life then Give Life, RNIB, Diabetes UK, the BMA and the Wales Kidney Patients Association. The campaign is working closely with the Welsh Assembly Government, who in February gave it £100k to focus on Wales.

There is a desperate shortage of organ donors in Wales and in the last five years sadly more than 100 people have died waiting for a transplant. If you want to help please join the Organ Donor Register and talk about your decision to do so with your family and friends.
