Cardiff Half Marathon 2027

Wales’ most loved race is back on Sunday 3rd October 2027!

Join over 27,500 runners as they take on the iconic 13.1-mile course around the capital.

Run for Kidney Wales and we will provide you with everything you need to help us raise funds and awareness of kidney disease, while challenging yourself to take on this brilliant race.

Here are 3 reasons why we need your support at the 2027 Cardiff Half Marathon:

1. Fight a Leading Health Crisis

Kidney disease is the 10th biggest killer worldwide, yet it often receives less attention than other major illnesses. Supporting Kidney Wales helps bring critical awareness and resources to a condition that affects millions of people.

2. Support Where It’s Most Needed

Kidney Wales doesn’t receive any government funding, meaning it relies solely on public support to continue its vital work. By fundraising, you’re directly contributing to essential services and advocacy for those affected by kidney disease.

3. Help People Facing a Lifelong Challenge

There is currently no cure for kidney disease, only treatments to manage it. Patients can face ongoing challenges every day. Your support ensures that Kidney Wales can be there for the 20 people diagnosed every day and their families, providing the care and support they need.

Kidney Wales charity places

The charity place is free to obtain, however there is a minimum fundraising commitment of £300 per place, excluding Gift Aid.

Your fundraising milestones are:

• £50 (excluding gift aid) must be raised by 31st March 2027
• £150 (excluding gift aid)must be raised by 31st July 2027
• £300 (excluding gift aid) must be raised by 31st October 2027

You will be officially registered for your Cardiff half place once you have raised £50.

All Kidney Wales fundraisers will receive a running top for race day once they have reached the £150 milestone of their £300 fundraising commitment, and will be required to accept the terms and conditions of the charity place.

You will also receive a fundraising pack and the full support of the Kidney Wales fundraising team to help you reach your personal fundraising goal.
