Join Team Kidney Wales and take on one of the world’s most iconic races – the TCS London Marathon!
If you’re only ever going to do one marathon, this is the one. Taking place on Sunday, 26 April 2026, you’ll run alongside more than 40,000 others, with thousands of supporters lining the streets to cheer you on.
From the electric atmosphere to the world-famous landmarks that line the 26.2-mile route—from Greenwich to the Mall—it’s no wonder this is one of the most celebrated running events in the world.
Whether it’s your first marathon or your fiftieth, we’d love for you to join Team Kidney Wales. We’ll support you every step of the way, with fundraising tips, training support, and a passionate community behind you.

Own Place Runners
The ballot for the 2026 TCS London Marathon opens on Friday, 25 April 2025, and closes on Friday, 2 May 2025.
- It’s free to enter the ballot
- If successful, you’ll pay the entry fee directly to London Marathon Events
- Everyone who applies during the ballot window has an equal chance – it’s not first-come, first-served
- Ballot results are expected by early July 2025
- Enter the 2026 TCS London Marathon between Friday 25th of April and Friday 2nd of May here
If you’re lucky enough to secure a ballot place and would like to run for Kidney Wales, we’d love to hear from you. You’ll still get full fundraising support, your branded race top, and plenty of cheerleading along the way.

Charity Places
We have now filled our charity places available for 2026. A huge thank you to everyone who applied to run for Kidney Wales — we’re so excited to have an amazing team coming together already!
We know many people will also be entering the official ballot, and unfortunately, injuries and changes in circumstances do happen — so we are now opening a waiting list for our charity places.
📌 Over the last two years, we’ve been able to offer places to people on the waiting list, so if you’re still keen to run and support Kidney Wales, this is a great opportunity to be considered if a space becomes available. A reminder if you were to be offered a place, the below terms and conditions would still apply.
- £50 non-refundable registration fee
- Minimum sponsorship target: £1,700
- £850 to be raised by end of December 2025
- Full amount by end of May 2026
- Must be aged 18 or over
- Committed to training and fundraising
