Join Team Kidney Wales and take on one of the world’s most iconic races – the TCS London Marathon!
If you’re only ever going to do one marathon, this is the one. Taking place on Sunday, 26 April 2026, you’ll run alongside more than 40,000 others, with thousands of supporters lining the streets to cheer you on.
From the electric atmosphere to the world-famous landmarks that line the 26.2-mile route—from Greenwich to the Mall—it’s no wonder this is one of the most celebrated running events in the world.
Whether it’s your first marathon or your fiftieth, we’d love for you to join Team Kidney Wales. We’ll support you every step of the way, with fundraising tips, training support, and a passionate community behind you.

Own Place Runners
The ballot for the 2027 TCS London Marathon opens on Friday, 24 April 2026, and closes on Friday, 1 May 2026.
- It’s free to enter the ballot
- If successful, you’ll pay the entry fee directly to London Marathon Events
- Everyone who applies during the ballot window has an equal chance – it’s not first-come, first-served
- Ballot results are expected by early July 2025

If you’re lucky enough to secure a ballot place and would like to run for Kidney Wales, we’d love to hear from you. You’ll still get full fundraising support, your branded race top, and plenty of cheerleading along the way.

Charity Places
Apply for a Kidney Wales charity place and join Team Kidney Wales for the iconic London Marathon 2027. Take on one of the world’s most inspiring races while making a real difference to those affected by kidney disease, helping to fund vital support, research, and awareness across Wales.
- £75 non-refundable registration fee
- Minimum sponsorship target: £2,000 (£500 by 31 October 2026, £1000 by 31 December 2026, £2,000 by 31 May 2027)
- Must be aged 18 or over
- Committed to training and fundraising
