Financial support available for unpaid carers in Wales
In April 2022 Welsh Government announced that they would be making one-off financial support payment available to unpaid carers for providing care during the pandemic.

A one-off payment of £500 will be available to those who meet the criteria. The eligible unpaid carers will be able to claim the payment from their local council. With the money being provided to help those who experienced extra costs associated with provided care and looking after someone during the pandemic.
