Kidney Wales Foundation announced at total of £73,597 raised at the Gala Dinner last night in Cardiff. The event was attended by Ruth Madoc and hosted by Heledd Cynwal the S4C presenter.
Roy J Thomas said “ We bring everyone together for the Dinner and obtain amazing support from across Wales. Most of the funds raised last night came from Walks across Wales from Bala, Machynlleth to Cardiff we have a great Kidney Wales Family. If it is walking the Coastal or a Half Marathon in China everyone contributes and is thanked. ”
He added” I pay tribute to Ruth Madoc who we first met on 3 March 1986 she was is a great supporter of organ donation. Ruth Madoc who was made a Patron of the Charity last night said “ Organ donation and seeing those on the transplant list obtain a transplant has been important to me for decades. I pay tribute to the supporters of Kidney Wales and the Charity for all they do. I am thrilled to be a Patron having been introduced to the Charity in 1983 by my friend the late great Sir Geraint Evans.” Ruth Madoc joins Patrons such as Alex Jones, Katherine Jenkins, Max Boyce and Leigh Halfpenny.Kidney Wales Foundation announced at total of £73,597 raised at the Gala Dinner last night in Cardiff.
