Kidney Wales Financial Aid Fund Boosted as Demand Surges
Kidney Wales has released an additional £4,000 in funding for its financial assistance programme after exhausting its £22,000 budget in just 10 months. The scheme, designed to support kidney patients facing financial hardship due to chronic kidney disease (CKD), has already provided aid to 63 individuals during the 2024/2025 financial year.
Since 2021, the programme has distributed over £62,000, helping patients cover essential costs such as rent arrears, utility bills, white goods, and essential household repairs.
The additional funding will allow Kidney Wales to continue offering this vital support for the remainder of the financial year. With the high demand for assistance, the organisation remains committed to securing further funding to expand its reach and help even more patients facing financial difficulties.
