For World Kidney Day on March 11th the Kidney Wales Foundation is announcing plans that will push us to the forefront of patient voice. There are thousands of patients in Wales who need to make sure their voice is heard. 10,000 people in Wales have renal disease, hundreds so badly that they need a transplant. As patient numbers in Wales grow and the population ages it is likely these figures will rise further. Patient voice will become even more important.
