The Kidney Wales Foundation invites applications for the 2011 Research Awards and the announcement of our new Research advisory Panel Chaired by Dr Sian Griffin with Paul Cockwell and Dr Menna R Clatworthy . The Panel will advise the Board of the Kidney Wales Foundation through our Trustee Baroness Jenny Randerson AM.

All those working in Welsh institutions are eligible to apply, and applications from Welsh researchers wishing will also be accepted or from established researchers demonstrating value from elsewhere. The proposed research should be clearly related to kidney disease, and applications involving collaboration between scientists and clinicians are particularly encouraged.

Research Awards are available for PhD studentships, project and programme grants.

The application deadline is 1 July 2011, and shortlisted candidates may be invited for interview in the Autumn. Successful candidates may take up their grants from the end of 2011.
