[:en]The Walk for Life is a key event in the Kidney Wales Foundation calendar. The Wales wide event saw hundreds of volunteers and fundraisers step out in April to raise money and show their support for kidney patients across Wales.

In Parks, on beaches and to South Wales’ highest peak people held walks to raise vital life-saving funds to make a difference to the lives of patients, young and old, suffering from kidney disease in Welsh communities.

Walks were held in communities across Wales – from a Nature Treasure Hunt in Bute Park to a Sunset hike up Pen-y- Fan. Communities gathered together from Machynlleth, Llantrisant to Newport and all across Wales, they dug deep and raised thousands of pounds for Kidney Wales Foundation.

The Kidney Wales Walk for Life is a wonderful way to bring communities together to make a real difference and help raise money for people whose lives are affected by kidney disease.

Roy J Thomas, Chief Executive of Kidney Wales said: “Once again the people of Wales have come to support the Kidney Wales Walk for Life. We are extremely grateful for all the support we receive which helps fund the work we do with patients across the country”.

If you feel inspired by our Walk For Life Community Champions, you can organise your own walk or take part in you local communities walk in 2016.
