Cardiff 10K 2025: A Record-Breaking Day for Kidney Wales - Kidney Wales

Sunday 7th September saw the biggest ever Brecon Carreg Cardiff 10K, with more than 7,800 runners registered across the 10K and supporting 2K race. Despite the rain, spirits were high as thousands of runners and spectators filled the Welsh capital, taking in the city’s most iconic landmarks  from the Principality Stadium and Cardiff Castle to the beautiful parklands.

As the Lead Charity Partner, Kidney Wales was proud to have a team of 200 incredible runners on the start line. Together, they have already raised over £36,000 with donations still coming in to help us continue supporting patients and families living with kidney disease in Wales.

Ross Evans, CEO at Kidney Wales, said:
“It’s been great to be back in the heart of the city for the 2025 Brecon Carreg CDF 10K. We’re so grateful to the 200 runners taking part in the event to raise funds for Kidney Wales, helping us to support patients and families living with kidney disease in Wales.”

We’d like to say thank you to everyone who made the day so special:

  • Dayna from Dayna Sports Massage Therapy who provided post race massages exclusively for our team of Kidney Wales Runners.
  • Tesco & Brecon Carreg who provided post-race refreshments, helping to give our runners the best possible experience.
  • Our wonderful volunteers, who cheered from our Kidney Wales station and welcomed supporters at our tent.
  • The brilliant staff team and volunteers at Run 4 Wales, who delivered yet another fantastic event.
  • Our amazing team of Kidney Wales runners, a huge congratulations to you on this epic achievement and thank you for championing our cause!

This year, we were also proud to brand the clock in the race village, and we hope lots of you managed to grab a photo with your finish time against it!

It was a day to remember for Kidney Wales, and we couldn’t be prouder of everyone who took part, volunteered, or supported. Thank you for helping to make a real difference.
